Move On. Can’t Or Won’t?

Berikut adalah tweet-tweet gue tentang move on beberapa waktu yang lalu, dengan penambahan lumayan banyak. Sorry kalo bahasanya udah kayak Cinta Laura, campur sari Inggris Indonesia. Kalo ada salah grammar, maapin ye, mpok-mpok dan tante-tante dan om-om! :))

Susah move on? Sebenarnya, move on itu bukan perkara susah atau gampang. Tapi mau atau tidak. :)
If you dwell in the past, remembering every little details and secretly hoping that you could turn back time, then move on is impossible. You may look back, sometimes. But in order to move on, you have to move forward, not to go backward and befriend with your past.
It’s actually easier said than done. The big question is: Are you ready to move on and find yourself a brand new adventure? Or are you too comfort in your old blanket of memories, so you refuse to fold and keep it somewhere safe?

Then, whether to move on or to stay where you are, cry your eyes out and making all those excuses are the matter of choices. YOUR CHOICE. You choose what you want to do. So, it’s not you can’t, but you won’t. 
Kenapa move on susah? Karena, lebih gampang memaafkan orang lain daripada memaafkan diri sendiri. Sometimes it just too damn hard. 
Kalau dihadapkan pada pilihan yang sama-sama sulit, lalu ternyata salah pilih, rasa menyesalnya berkepanjangan. Yang sering kita lupakan, menyesal tak pernah berguna. Apa buah penyesalan? Galau terus-terusan? Then, what’s the point? 
Kalau terus menerus menyesali diri, and could never forgive our self, we could easily turned ourself into cold hearted bitches. Ouch! 
Lalu, bermacam excuses bermunculan. Begitu ada yang ngasih solusi, kita langsung pasang perisai pelindung diri, lalu mementalkannya dengan cara bersikap defensif dan menuduh: you don’t walk in my shoes. Yeah, right. *insert emoticon eye roll here* 
Di sinilah self denial dimulai. Otak dan hati menolak untuk move on. Semua masukan kena smash balik. We build the thick wall. 
The question here: How could you move on if you live in the fantasy land called self denial?
Only you can help yourself. Mau minta bantuan sahabat atau psikiater secanggih apapun kalau dari dalam usaha melawan terlalu kuat ya percuma. So please stop making excuses such as “you don’t walk in my shoes”, and please, learn to see “you” from a different angle. 
One simple way: write it all down. Your thoughts, your feelings, and let your brain, not your heart to analyzes things. Then, maybe you’d realize, all of these times you’ve been such a coward not to let things go. You were the queen of all drama. 
Point terpenting menuliskan apa yang terjadi, adalah jujur pada diri sendiri. Kalo sama diri sendiri aja gak bisa jujur, percuma. Jangan memanjakan perasaan denial itu. I’ve been there. Many times. But now i’m stronger than yesterday… #mendadakBritney :P
If you think you’re happy just because you live in denial, you are wrong. Mulut bisa berkata “saya nggak apa-apa, saya bahagia”. Tapi, hati nggak akan bisa berbohong. ;) 
Now, do you still think you’re not the real drama queen? Do you think what you’ve been through, all of your pain and your sorrow and the misery that still haunting you to this very moment are not because you won’t let go? Well, then the denial is still there. Trapped within you.
Banyak lho orang yang stuck nggak merasa hidup dalam denial, dan terus melakukan pembenaran. Jadinya banyak yang hidup dalam ilusi bahwa hidup itu penuh penderitaan, dirinya lah manusia yang paling menderita di dunia, penderitaan orang lain nggak sebanding dengan sakit hati yang terus mereka rasakan. 
So, try to forgive yourself. Once you did, you will see there will be rainbow after the rain, and the world is not made of black and white color only. 
Remember: If you learn to let go, you will gain so much more.
